- Fate is decided by God but destiny is the path you choose to get there -
And so I came to noe about SGSKATERS forum...made a couple of really really nice friends after a few meetups. Infact a couple of guys and 1 girl came into my life. Let's start talking about the Girl...hehe going by the pseudonym MiuMiu (Michelle), she's one of those girls that I find really really different. She wears a cap! Haha I noe its sounds funny but it's not often to see a girl wearing a cap and pulling it off. I mean everyone has a different face but not everyone is suited to wear a cap and pulling it off. Hehe no pics though but I leave it to your imagination. And most ladies her age dress formal and tends to be really matured. but Miche sort of gives me a hip, street freestyler feel. Her attutide's best describe in one word, COOL. Bryan, Kent, Faussi, Aaron, Garrett, Engene, John and Shasha kinda left a strong impression in me as these are definitely people from all walks of life and the dedication and cohesion we share in a common hobby is remarkable.
Friday nite 25 Nov 2005...met up with Bryan, Garrett, Kent, Ben and some of the other forum guys for a urban skate session...From East Coast Park to Esplanade. Well all I can say is that it's a forum outing and seems like there's these bunch of yuppies from the local polytechnics segregating their grp from the rest of the forum people. Hello?! Like I say again it's a damn forum outing so shouldn't cohesion be left at home? Honestly these yuppies who obviously haven tasted army is really a bunch of arrogant bastards. Never had this kinda experience at Singapore Mitsubishi Club or Singapore Lancer Club meetup in the past and I guess that sort of explains the "before army and after army" difference. So a couple of us skated last to look after newbies as a gesture of good forum outing practice. Hehe sounds like accounting shit...! And the bunch of yuppies were head strong and left us trailing way behind.
So enuff of angst, and so we whizzed passed Bugis and Cityhall and collected numerous looks from the public which I cannot deny that even I, myself was becoming arrogant bathing is such limelight. Made it to Esplanade in 1 piece without a fall...and after went to Memorial to practice slalom with the usual few.
And yesterday, Sat 26 Nov 2005, yes, I was late for my Japanese lesson and I decided to postpone it to next week. Washed my bearings inside out and was ready to go out for another skate session then my good friend and my best buddy came and paid me a visit. It's the rain that I am talking about. So had to wait for "it" to leave before I met up with Bryan to rendezvous with Kent and his wife at Cityhall. Got another set of Bones Red bearings from Spitfire and now my skate bearings has completed its full overhaul. Bryan and Kent followed suit with the complete Bones Reds overhaul. After that, Kent went shopping with his wife and Bryan and me headed to East Coast Park to meet John and Miche. Picked up backward scissors from MiuMiu later in the nite from a mini slalom session. Thks Miche.
Headed home late so had to catch the NR8 as no MRTs were left. Mistook the route for the 174 route and had to blade a short distance home. Didn't really wanna walk though.
That's about it for the last few days and so I'm resting my drained body to blade another day.
