Lost to a little silent killer...

- Fate is decided by God but destiny is the path you choose to get there -

Yeah it's been a really really long time I know, but Your Royal Highness is down with DENGUE! Yep, don't be surprise but I'm not dead yet! Really don't know how in the hell did I lost to a small, tiny imbecile that I could easily squished between my fingers! Started last Sunday nite with a high fever...Hehe as the doctor said, only 1% of most cases are fatal and so the rest are just been there and done that shits! Well all I can say is that the feeling of being down and restless and also feeling so darn vulnerable is really lousy! It's not like small ailments like flu or fever, etc which is like over in a couple of days with proper medication...I was virtually feeling so darn uncomfortable for 2 weeks and not to mention the inconveniences that I've caused to those around me. Missing skool, fav. foods, chill out spots, movies, friends, skating, etc!

Darn, not to mention looking like the incarnation of Lord Kuan! After the fever subside, the skin color basically is RED, yeah like after a total sunburn! Nope they are not painful but makes one feel like a freak! At times, it's itchy! The nausea feeling is really killing me more than anything else. Just this week, I had to go to ze Polyclinic to take blood test 3 consecutive days! And the oh-so-cute Doc asked me if I wanted to come back again tomolo! The first blood test had a platelet count of 105! Anything below 100 have to be administered to a luxurious stay at any of the local hospitals, well taken care of by the "cute" nurses! DREAM ON! A normal person should have a platelet count of about 150 to 350. Hehe interesting medical lesson learnt! And so the second blood test was 119, then 137 and a miraculous 205 today! THANK GOD I SURVIVED! Well there is actually no cure to the Dengue shit and it all depends on the individual's own body resistence...or so is it? Well, there are a couple of chinese remedies that worked! Here's one that is true...boil about 5 edible frogs (aka "Tian Ji") with little, tiny bitter gourd (about 5) without adding any water. It should yield around 2 teaspoon of really bitter liquid. NOW DRINK THAT DARN ELIXIR! It should work even if your darn platelets is around 30!

Now to get back on the road to FULL recovery and to get back at those miss out lessons! And a word to everyone, watch out for the darn, venomous proboscides of the silent killer!
