UPDATES...

- Fate is decided by God but destiny is the path you choose to get there -

Sorry really didn't mean to neglect my blog in anyway but maybe I'm just plain lazy...hehe okay that's not an excuse but a mere fact... Updates like the title suggests...and so I went out on Sat to do some shopping as a certain t-shirt label from Japan caught my attention recently. Made my way down to Parklane after Japanese lesson to try my luck...hehe got a steal for SGD$10 but too bad the size is a little big and there were only 2 designs...so in the end I got one of the 2. Really happy but I wanted more so I went down Bugis to try my luck further...and Yeah, found a shop that carry that label and a lot of designs there too...cool. Really happy but the price...err a bit the pricey and I was trying to talk the salesgirl to give me a discount but to no avail in the end so no choice had to get the 2 tees at a more expensive price...Damn basket, idiot bananas!?@#* What to do? Good things don't come cheap...so here 2 of the 3 the designs as 1 is still in the washer...

Well if you ask me, I'm a Jap freak...I just love Japanese designs...especially those depicting 16 century Edo period art...Ukiyo-e to be precise as Kuniyoshi's designs revolves around famous Samurais...cool

And so I have been actively skating since I got my skates last week Wednesday...been training hard to keep fit and burn the excess "tyre". Endured a couple of muscle strain on my legs, sun and tons of sweat, now, I'm almost regaining back the good old ice-skating days...around 30% recovered but still a long way to go as inline is really different...obstacles both static and movable are present all around not to mention uneven surfaces too...definitely got a long way to go...but I did made pretty much improvement as I managed to skate "gracefully" and also forward left crosses...had a bit of trouble doing the forward right crosses as I hardly ever do them during the ice-skating days. Well the rink regulations is that everyone skate in a anti-clockwise direction and so that explains why! So today had a slight fall while practising the right crosses...took a toll on my right knee, bruised and a slight cut and now I can't bend it fully...and also my good old LEVI'S, damn...now I have a small hole in my jeans which I know will developed into a really big one...!

"Ouch! No pain no gain!"

"My poor LEVI'S"

And so I went out on Sunday to get some cleaning solvent and also lubricant for the bearings..I might consider changing my bearings to Bones Reds as Bones Swiss are far too fast for me...really can't afford to lose a limb at this age and also Bones bearings are really easy to maintain and trust me I used to skateboard so I definitely give 2 thumbs up for Bones bearings...really good 'cos I tried and I fell that's why I KNOW they ARE GOOD! (Go read "http://bonesbearings.com/" on why the hell they are so good!) Took about 3 hours just now after coming home to clean the stupid thick industrial GREASE off the new, standard ABEC 5 bearings that came with the skate...now the bearings are definitely spinning much smoother and faster than it was before as I lube it with Bones Speed lube after a thorough cleaning. Well the thick, white glue paste that was otherwise known as Industrial grease really clogs up the standard default bearings thus causing it to spin much slower...here's the pic of the skates and my little accessory bag...

"Left to right clockwise - Cleaning solvent and pre-lube, BONES Speed lube, China Bones bearings (spare bearings just in case...), film containers for washing bearings, old toothbrush, FSK manual and allen keys, FSK gloves bag to keep my barang barang!"

"There everything pack and ready to go!"
